Its tiring to be mortal

Its tiring… to keep up with the pretence to have to be strong and face the problems in this mortal shell.

The first person I thought of to call was a person who would never had enough time for his own things. Despite the things said and done, I had already given up asking for help. If it takes too long for a person to understand what you trying to say, simply put, it is not worth your time explaining… unless its work.

They say that you only live once, it is true, for you wont be able to experience what other do, you wont be able to see in their shoes how they manage their lifestyle, their problems and of course their everyday life.

I would wanna see… people’s everyday lives. It must be so much different compared to mine. It must be a feeling of waking up daily to know where to go, what to do, what to say and a place to rest. It must be so vastly different.

Living is tiring, You spend your first 2 decades or so Studying things which you are not gonna use for the rest of your life. Then followed by getting your life messed up by elders and senior people of a obselute era with their thinking of “I must be right”. By the time it ends, your ailing and your health suffers. And if you have kids they pissed you off to death or you get stressed up over their lives trying to convey you life experiences to them.

Its tiring to be mortal. REALLY. I have not been able to do what I like after 29 years. I have not found what is so nice abou this damn world at all.

Its tiring to be mortal.

I suddenly thought of the past

I suddenly thought of the past. Then its struck, and I ended up drinking in the early morning.

Sight…

We all live with a wish to paint this city our own color.

Yet how many of us did tat?

The “July 20 Plot” on Hitler’s life is one of the most heroic but least known episodes of World War II. Severely wounded in combat, Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg returns from Africa to join the German Resistance and help create Operation Valkyrie, a complex plan that will allow a shadow government to replace Hitler once he is dead. However fate and circumstance conspire to thrust Stauffenberg into an imminent ultimatum. Not only must he lead the coup and seize control of his nation’s government, he must also kill Hitler himself.

Man, while I was watching this movie the time actually flew by. The story, acting, music.. I mean everything was perfectly done and kept me interested throughout the movie. The drama is so intense. This is a must see. By the way, ignore those history-people who criticize this movie for accuracies and just enjoy the movie as it is….

Leave or stay?

Is it selfish to ask someone to stay for you? Or will you just let him/her go, because that is what he/she really wants?

Slumdog Millionaire

Slumdog Millionaire

Directed By: Loveleen Tandan, Danny Boyle

Released By: 12th February 2009

Run Time: 120 mins.

Jamal Malik, an 18 year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai is about to experience the biggest day of his life. With the whole nation watching, he is just one question away from winning a staggering 20 million rupees on India’s “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?”. But when the show breaks for the night, police arrest him on suspicion of cheating. Jamal proves his innocence by telling the story of his life in the slum where he and his brother grew up. Each chapter of his story reveals the key to the answer to each one of the game show’s questions. When the new day dawns and Jamal returns to answer the final question, the Inspector and sixty million viewers are about to find out…

While people are flocking to Benjamin Button for its star-studded casts, an underdog film appears in Singapore screens making its debut and OH GOD the movie really impressed me. Danny Boyle really breaks the rule of an Indian movie. Instead of filling it with dances and weird musicals like Bollywood movies do, Slumdog Millionaire is a well-crafted life experience that will leave you at the edge of your seats. It seems everything in this movie is well-crafted ranging from the visuals, the score, the editing and even the songs and the screenplay. The acting is surprisingly memorable as well, despite the fact that the stars aren’t that huge compared to the recent blockbusters. Slumdog Millionaire is hands down the best movie of 2009! It will change your view on India forever (in a good way) for sure.

Million-Dollar Prize

Q: “If you had a million dollars waiting for you at the finishing line, how fast would you run?”

A: “I’ll take my time… It’s waiting for me anyway.”

What is Yours… will eventually be Yours. Belief in yourself. Faith in what you do. Maybe not the million-dollar prize. But you’ll get to the finishing line.

14 Sad Love Songs

Gonna do stupid things no more.
Feel like an idiot
The biggest fool.

Tomolo is the day many lovebirds have been waiting for.
February 14. Valentine’s Day.

I was just reading this commentary in Today newspaper by Phin wong and I had a good laugh on what he wrote.
And I particularly agreed with this statement.

Quote

“Valentine’s day –> the misguided belief of the one, the little blue boxes from Tiffany and Co, the bed of roses, the fancy dinner, the happily ever after etc…..
None of these things actually have anything to do with love. It has everything to do with being in love with the idea of being in Love.

And I agree to that. Here’s 14 SAD LOVE SONGS for those who are single just like me… Enjoy!

Love Matters

Love Matters

Starring: Alex Leong, Yeo Yann Yann, Jack Lim, Henry Thia

Directed By: Jack Neo

Released By: 22nd January 2009

Run Time: 113 mins.

Genre: Comedy

“Love Matters” is a movie revolving around three main protagonists -
52-year-old Tan Bo Seng, his 17-year-old teenage son Benny and 36-year-old Jeremy, Bo Seng’s ‘adopted’ brother - and their accidental journey in seeking and keeping love and happiness. Bo Seng (Henry Thia) who leads a routine life attempts to revive the passion with his wife Jia Li (Yeo Yann Yann). Jeremy (Jack Lim) lives a colourful life; with “Never to commit” as his motto for love. Benny (Alex Leong) has just started school life and his only distraction is his crush, Jennifer (Natalli) who is his classmate’s girlfriend.

Maybe I carry too much hope on the movie, was a bit disappointed. But can tell that the cast have done their best. Other than the storyline, most of the cast have improved in their skills especially Yan Yan & Henry Thia. With every Jack Neo’s movie comes different hopes and expectations by movie goers, given the director’s renowned movie-making skills.

Love Matters was indeed a reasonably pleasant movie on the whole, but it was not exactly the best Jack has to offer. Taking into account his previous achievements in movie-making, it is natural that movie audiences tend to expect more from each of his movie over time. While Love Matters does deserve credits for reflecting social issues in the form of love and relationships that people can relate to on the big screen, this latest effort seems to come across a more lacklustre production as compared to his previous movies. Even though the plot was clear cut and the inspiring messages behind the movie were presented clearly, one cannot help but wonder if the whole story was too simple and lucid to make a sincere and worthy movie befitting of Jack Neo’s movie-making prowess.

原来爱情这么伤…

Every year valentine day I being spending myself alone, and I think this year no different bah…

What is L.O.V.E ???
….. i dunno .

Lunar New Year 2009 Is Almost Over

In a blink of an eye, this year Lunar New Year is almost over. Today is the 7th day of Lunar New Year which is also called “Ren Ri”. In English, it means people day aka everybody birthday. Lunar New Year celebration normally last for 15 days.

Lunar New Year is getting a little repetitive and boring as we grow up, sooner or later, the current or next generation of people will just treat it as another public holiday.

When we are young, we are so carefree, used to play with our cousins, running around below the void deck and playing with fireworks and crackers. When we grew a little bit older, we will gamble a little bit and perhaps play console game. When we are even older, we have our own things and we would rather go home and do our work than hang around at our relative place. We used to spend like 2 days of Lunar New Year at grandparent place, then it become 1 whole day and then it becomes a few hours only on the first day. And normally by the first day, we are done with the visiting. The second day is normally used to watch movies as well as to catch up with sleep/rest.

The number of shops in shopping centers opened throughout the Lunar New Year are increasing, as I believed that earning money is definitely much more important than visiting especially in the year of recession, further more the pay on public holiday is suppose to be double according to Labour Law in Singapore.

When I was young, I always look forward to Lunar New Year because of red packets as I can use the money to buy the stuffs that I liked. When I grew older and has the capability to earn money, the enthusiasm gets lesser but of course I still like the money inside the red packer, lol. This is the last year I will receive red packet as I have already grown up, working and I guess its suppose to give red packet to my parents.

Anyway, next week onwards, I shall be extremely busy because on the I will be away for ICT. Haiz…
