A thank you note…

As the year is coming to an end, I wish to mark my 2006 with many thanks to people around me. This will be my last post for the year.

I’m superbly booked till first week of January 2007. So do excuse me if you don’t see my tags on your blogs. I’m sure you’re one understanding folk. Haha…

To my family

Though I doubt they will be reading this, probably my siblings, just to say, it’s great to be home. Still, I pray for lesser grumbling and nagging. PLEASE. Ha!

To a lovely friend

Thank you so much for my first Christmas gift. You know who you are, so I shouldn’t disclose your name, for you wish to be mysterious. Ha! I have yet to put those yummy chocolate into my mouth, not especially when I’m really feeling sickly at the moment. I hope you enjoy your gift from me to you too.

Despite so many ups and downs, aren’t we glad we are still hanging on to this great friendship? Just remember, you have your buddy here to splash out all your sorrows. Ha!

Of coz I have to thank myself lah. I thank myself for standing strong after failed relationships and failures. I thank myself for going through so much shit to become who I am today. *only closed pals will know the tormenting… #$%! I have landed myself last time.* Not a glamorous thing to post, so lets move on. I thank myself for having a big heart. Ai… HELLO HELLO… Cannot huh! Yes, call me thick-skinned, I don’t care, and I really have to say that! Heehee… No matter how badly someone pissed or reprimanded me, no matter how terribly the matter was, no matter how freaking insulted I was, no matter so much more, nope, I’m not mad. I don’t enjoy holding grudges. I assume a few shares the same thoughts. I always believe in treating others how you wish to be treated and most importantly, with respect. Lastly, I thank myself for loving all the great people around me. *I did say I have a big heart, right?*

2006 in hindsight

The year’s coming to an end! 2006! Sort of ’she bu de’… cos this year did alot of memorable thing, time to review the memorable events! Enjoy!

JAN 06

Won one gold and one sliver medals in swimming competition. This was my first great achievement starting of the brand new year. Haiz… guess tat will be my last competition as well…

Have been busying with finishing up FYP… as well as the Engineering Project Show! I remember we managed to finish e whole project few days before the show… it was so not easy… at least its OVER NOW!!! Yeah!

FEB 06

End of school? I can’t really recall… but then YES! Wat I can recall is the CNY! Yeah! Ang Pao! Haha…

It’s hell for Feb! It was our last semester in Poly, all the major exams and project deadlines all fall side by side… was pia-ing like hell to get good grades! Everyone’s working so hard… I would say I’ve never been so hardworking for the whole of my schooling life.

Our last paper on the 22/2/06. A celebration of Graduation… and not forgetting our birthday boy, Ronghua also.

MAR 06

Start working at Make Yield Stainless Pte Ltd.

Went to Hong Kong for our Graduation tour. HK is a place where you’ll never get tired of going and going again! Haha… The most memorable thing was to sit on the 360 degree roller coaster! I can still REMEMBER clearly the coater feeling after the ride… Haha!

APR 06

Birthday! Ahh… hmm… lets just say celebrated 21st birthday lah! Haha… Forever 21. Very memorable! Enjoyed durian cake… oh… tats my favourite! And also the surprising presents! Shock! Will always remember… Thank you guys!

MAY 06

Student Award Ceremony 2006

Congratulate to myself for awarded the Best Secretary of the Year 2006!!! Haha… Hard work do pay off…huh, right?

JUN 06

Something that we are proud of!!! Graduated le!!! Will missed all the fun we had in school.

Driving up to KL for the first time! Full of shit and curse up KL and also back Singapore. Haha… And also many many shopping!

JUL 06

Took last minutes days off to Phuket for some shopping and relaxation. A very rush trip in fact, I just booked my ticket, packed my bag and left for my afternoon flight on the day itself. Great! Hope to have more of tis ‘LAST MINUTE TRIP’!

Aunt… passed away. 谢谢你姑姑… 谢谢你… 从小就一直照顾我… 长大… 到现在… 一直当我是亲生儿子看待… 你永远留在我心中… 我爱你姑姑.

Took a Sat off to Bontanic Garden wif Elaine, then having the usual shoppings & dinner buffet at Meritus Mandarin… Had a great day! I feel so so much relax. Thanks Elaine.

Hope to visit Singapore Zoo next year! Hope…

Been a busy year for me since I started working. One of the bigger project tat I took over was Qifa Primary School. Finally completed.

Sabah… my last trip of the year!

I was looking at all the photos I took throughout the year… really bring back alot of memories… from studying to holiday-ing to graduating to working and… thanks to all who made my 2006 a memorable and wonderful one!

滿城盡帶黃金甲【Curse of the Golden Flower】

I was pretty excited to see Curse of the Golden Flower, because it features two of my favorite actors - Gong Li’s breasts - along with Chow Yun-fat, Jay Chou, and Gong Li herself in supporting roles. Haha…

Gong Li totally blew me away.
Her beauty. Her figure. And her terrific acting skills.

However, other then the action, the whole relationship and emotional entanglement of the movie
is like a cheena epic version of… Days of our lives.
Quite interesting huh! Hahaha…
Queen sleep with Stepson. Prince sleep with palace maid who turn out to be his sister.
King’s physician’s wife turn out to be the ex-queen who is supposed to be dead. OMGoodness…

Curse of the Golden Flower is a pretty good movie only if one enjoys seeing those… breasts, oops! Heehee… However I have to say this movie… not tat good. Its conflict is affected and not convinsing and reasonable. All the charactors act “用力过猛”. By nothing new and creative, Zhang Yimou, again, uses his fame attracting enough attention and audiences thus collecting more money into his pocket. Let’s just wait to see what he would bring us at 2008 Olympics.

Ain’t No Other Man - Christina Aguilera : I got to hear this song for the first time ever, anywhere when Christina Aguilera debuted the video on TRL. Ever since that day I don’t think a day has gone by since that I haven’t hummed or sang along to that song. It was deff the song of the year for me.

SexyBack - Justin Timberlake: But, SexyBack is a close second. EVERYONE loved this song for at least a month after it came out. Don’t lie, you know YOU did too.

Hips Don’t Lie - Shakira with Wyclelf Jean: There is something about how you can’t understand most of what Shakira is singing in this song but the chorus is sheer perfection.

Buttons - Pussycat Dolls with Big Snoop Dogg: Maybe my unofficial song of the year? It’s a little trashy but totally fun…

My Humps - Black Eyed Peas & Fergalicious - Fergie: Love it or hate it everyone knows the words to My Humps … and then Fergie comes back later in the year with her own solo album and drops another great catchphrase song. I think she sold her soul to the Devil in order to keep coming up with these infectious songs — at the very least we can shamelessly enjoy them.

Promiscuous - Nelly Furtado with Timbaland:

It makes me remember about those nights in the discoooo… Great!

Because Of You - Kelly Clarkson: I remember the first time I heard this song and I KNEW it was going to be a huge radio hit. Love.The.Song.

Gold Digger - Kanye West with Jamie Foxx: This was the SexyBack before SexyBack came out. This song still gets all the asses out on the dancefloor. It prolly has the best lyrics of any hip-hop song I’ve heard all year.

Steady As She Goes - The Raconteurs: Brendan Benson is the shit. The end.

Sorry - Madonna: Come on… prolly the best pop song of the year? Madonna knows a hit when she writes one.

Prison Break: Many people, me included, were worried that once the prisoners broke out of prison that the show would lose its appeal but that turned out not to be the case. The story arc just got wider and more complicated and it’s not even over yet. All I know is that I’ll be watching no matter how long the hiatus is.

Project Runway: The best competitive reality show on TV, hands down. This show has a great formula for keeping the audience coming back for more… due in large part to the interesting challenges they keep coming up with. The contestants are interesting too but this show can just keep going for as long as they keep coming up with great challenges — they will never run out of interesting contestants.

Survivor - Cook Islands: Okay, I’m not weird for liking Survivor… a lot of people like Survivor. Something about this season just grabbed me… I liked that the smaller tribe ended up destroying the larger tribe and the nicest, smartest guy on the island walked away with a million bucks.

ChrisT..!!! Its Chirstmas EVE!!!

Hooorah… Hoooorayyy!!! I’ts finally here!!!

Today is Christmas Eve!!! Can you feel the love in the air?!!! I can almost snifff it under my nose….. (or maybe its my feet.

The highlight for Christmas Eve would definitely be the Christmas Dinner @ home!!! There’s Ham, Turkey, Wine, Dessert and of course PRESENTS! Hahaha…!
Actually these are one of the lesser things I’m concerned about during Christmas… I’m looking forward more to the gathering of FAMILY…

My tiramisu!!!

This is the third time I made tiramisu in three days… haha… and it is the first time I feel myself have made it right!!

I need to thanks elder sis, she teach me the easiest way to make tiramisu, and I must thank everyone in my family, they finish all my tiramisu even it don’t taste that well. THANK YOU!!!

After about 3-4 times of tiramisu, I think I need to improve. My next target is New York Cheese Cake!! Haha… plz look forward to it.

DESPERATE HOILDAY

Christmas is just right around the corner, and I still have no plan yet. Actually, I don’t even wanna make plans. Again, Christmas to me is just a hoilday to spend with the lovers or family. For people whose family doesn’t really give a shit about Christmas and whose without a relationship, like me, will just go out with friends convincing themselves they’re having the best time ever in that fucking crowd. Or we can just sit our fat ass at home grumbling about the fact we are left out ….. or whatever .

Won a pair of ticket to watch 《伤城》 Confession of Pain.

酒好喝的地方在於它难喝.

这是我感受最深的一句话, 原来以前的我也是在伤城中慢慢疗伤, 伤过, 才会珍惜.

觉得这部片真的和导演之前的无间道作品有相当的差异, 除了铺陈的手法之外, 故事上也有明显的不同, 直到看完, 值得推荐.
