Went to watch John Tucker Must Die with Joel… He’s been saying to watch this sequel… the movie was not bad…

When three popular girls from different cliques discover they’ve all been dating the school stud, they band together to seek revenge. Despite the jerk’s charm and ever-growing popularity, the girls cleverly scheme with the help of the inconspicuous new girl in town, to soil his reputation and break his heart.

I realise that, there are so many things to learn. It just makes me look… so little, so insignificant. Life really know how to joke with Man… When one truly expects nothing, the result would be a fruitful harvest in return. On the other hand, one will not get what he worked for sometimes. But the point is, then how would one truly appreciate what is given, if he did not fight for what he aimed for? Or is it because one will appreciate even more because he expects nothing at all.

Weekends are abit like rainbow,

They look good from a distance but disappear when u get up close to them.

I want to be happy. But it seemed that the more I tried, the more I reminded myself how unhappy I was. I envied others. I see myself more and more insignificant when I look at others. How much I hope, for a person that will always be there for me, to be loved and cared for. Think, it’s time I needed love too… How weird…

October, October, October!!!

October is coming soon, only 7 more days to go… :]

Wat else is in Oct?

SAW 3!!! Woo… I thought the story has ended… I’m looking forward to watch tis.

I don’t quite see the point in grumbling my ass off on this page anymore… Somehow, when I read back all those past posts, I feel like an absolute complete idiot! Don’t know why, just feel so. Perhaps, I’ve finally learnt how to accept the fact that I’m fucking whiny, fullstop.

But still, once I’ve started on this post, I should not stop just there.

An update on my day.

Been wanting to take MC since yesterday, my whole body feel like it’s gonna break into a million pieces anytime. I’m so DAMN TIRED!!!

Couldn’t do so, coz I promised a customer to meet him. Duhz.

Then came this morning.
When I woke up, I was like… my whole body felt like it was being weighed down by don’t know how many million bricks!!!

Totally totally tired.

Can’t get enough of ” The Banquet”

This is a film about desire. Desire doesn’t mean a character is predetermined to do something. It rather means he is expanding and changing constantly, goaded on by desire, until he walks closer and closer into an abyss.

The most attractive thing about it is that “desire” is not premeditated but is often the result of self-preservation. Take the Empress for instance. Her first move is to protect herself. Her second move is to protect the Crown Prince. When she discovers that the Prince can no longer be protected, she needs to take things in her own hands… This kind of set-up is more human: as the characters get lost in their desire, the situation becomes uncontrollable, and everything starts changing and developing rapidly.

Posters for The Banquet have been released recently… which one is your favourite?

An exhibit of costumes from the film was held in Shanghai. On the top row are cosutmes worn by Empress Wan (Ziyi) and the Emperor (Ge You), the bottom row shows costumes for Zhou Xun, Daniel Wu and the Black Knights. Small placards at the bottom show the costumes in context.

Blank.

Hmm… nothing’s actually on my mind at the moment.
In a state of… fill in the blanks… at this entry as I typed on.
Just felt like blogging, before I dive onto my bed…
So logged in, and when my nick auto appeared on MSN just now,
someone prompted me wif tis 1st greeting as "tot u dun online when u home"

Ehh, must be soooo particular anot huh?
When I said I don’t fart in public, it doesn’t mean I really don’t okay. Heh!

I had fun weekends few days back.
Sat was out wif Elaine to Bontanic Garden, then having the usual shoppings & dinner buffet at Meritus Mandarin.
Though short but loves the way it was.

Sun, a boring day turns out to be a sleeping marathon which started in the afternoon.

I like the day spent! =) Haha…

Watched "The Banquet"

The movie "The Banquet" is a tale of fate and revenge set in 10th century China. A new Emperor has usurped the throne through murder. Zhang Ziyi plays the widowed Empress, who marries the new Emperor (Ge You) only to protect herself, but also secretly plots his death with the help of the Crown Prince (Daniel Wu) and the Chief Minister (Ma Jingwu). Yet the Prince and Minister each have their own plans for the throne, and, of course, so does the Emperor. All these intrigues are brought to a climax when the Emperor calls for a lavish banquet, where the murderous plans are set in motion. According to director Feng Xiaogang: "If Hamlet is about a prince who must make a choice involving life and death, then The Banquet is about how each character must face a choice of life or death… All are motivated by desire, but as soon as they have begun their plans must grow more extreme, and they move step-by-step towards the abyss… They do not intend evil, but turn to it out of self-preservation and ever-growing ambition."

Zhang Ziyi as Empress Wan

Ge You as The Emperor

Zhou Xun as Qing Nu

Daniel Wu as the Crown Prince Wu Luan

Huang Xiaoming as the Marshall’s son

I am impressed by the extragavant set and of course Zhang Ziyi, she was a great actresss. And I always liked the palace politics. Ge You looked a little too fragile as a scheming usurper of the throne, while Daniel Wu is probably the worst actor (that wat I think) in the movie. Feels a little over stretched, which could be snappier at parts. But what’s most disappointing, is the puzzling final scene, everyone is dead, so who the heck stab the empress… Ghost? I enjoyed the violent bits a lot. Very realistic. Overall, the movie worth 3.5 stars.

update soon
