Rainbow

How often you see a rainbow, then standing at that point admiring it? Be it alone or with someone else. Or you aren’t even attracted to it? You can’t predict when and where you will see a rainbow. Just like, you never know when and where you will fall in love with someone. Some day, you meet him/her, are you going to remain still or have the courage to love him/her?

A rainbow doesn’t have to form even the rain has just stopped. And, even there is presence of sun rays, still there might not be a rainbow. How lucky would you be able to spot a rainbow above you? By chance, he/she appears in front of you, are you going to lose someone precious again?

The distance from one end of the rainbow to the other end might seem very far apart. And you might be wondering where the further end of the rainbow actually ends. Thinking the other end is where treasure actually lies? Erm, I’m talking nonsense. Anyway, the longest distance is not from one end of the world to the other end, which you can name it. I suppose the longest distance is not able to be with someone you truly love, when he/she is actually standing just beside you.

Maybe, that someone else, who is admiring the rainbow with you, is the one?

What a special occasion for her debut album.. Congrats to her… I love the sadness in 愛,無力 but after listening to her album just now, the R&B element in Love Me Again attract me lots. All songs are in different feelings and showed the versatility of Kelly!!… really good!

计时炸弹 - 潘嘉丽

Brokeback Mountain

It’s a nice movie… story’s pretty well done, just that it’s a little draggy near the end.

The most important moment in the film comes the day after the two spend their first night together. While working together for some time, tending to a large herd of sheep that is fattening up on the lush summer grass motting Bokeback Mountain, the two cowboys form a strong friendship that develops into a sexual bond. Over the next twenty years, the men try to lead separate lives, but they find themselves only infrequently, heading back to Brokeback Mountain to renew their lust and love. Both try to live what for them is a lie, with predictabl dire results. Through many ups and downs - marriages, careers, children and divorces - their forbidden love is the only constant in their loves. If their summer of love at Brokeback Mountain represents a sort of Eden, what follows must denote The Fall.

Jet Li’s Fearless is nice!!!

Fearless, it’s the kind of movie that will make you think about life, the things that you fight so passionately for and what they really mean to you at the end of the day. To Jet Li, martial arts is not about fighting, is it about training so that you do not need to fight. It is a difficult concept to explain and we’ve seem how he tried time and again to illustrate this point to little avail.

Well, with Fearless, all that needs to be explained, told and shown is up there. Fearless traces the lift of legendary folk hero Huo Yuanjia, who united different schools of martial arts and bought pride to the Chinese people at a time when they were facing heat from foregin invaders. It follows Huo from childhood to adulthood as he grow into a passionate street frighter obsessed with competing against the very best frighters of his time.

Details_fearless_3Fearless is more than just a simple autobiography about one man’s passion. It’s a bio-pic that was made to reflect Eastern view about life’s struggles and the importance of using these struggles to overcome yourself.

I JUST FEEL SO PROUD TO BE A CHINESE AFTER WATCHING IT…

Why does Valentine’s Day have to follow the Chinese New Year so closely?

Just days after being quizzed by inquistive relatives about my enduring bachelorhood status, the lovey-dovey mood of Valentine’s Day is in the air, and I am once again reminded that I am single.

Not that it bothers me really.

After so long of not having anyone special to celebrate the occasion with, I’ve come to view Feb 14 as just another day.

I’m sure many will agree that Valentine’s Day is basically a day when couples in particular the men, feel compelled to pay for extremely overpriced flower and dinner just to get into the mood for love.

Why else would anyone fork out $20 for a stalk of rose when you can buy a whole bunch of it for half that price on any other day?

And what that "mood" is evades me. To me, nobody needs a special day to celebrate love - you can celebrate it every single day if you’re with the right one.

But I must admit that I used to be a believer.

I remember my first girlfriend…. we will both studying in the same class. She was a very quiet girl and she likes to read a lot. Althought, it wasn’t love at first sight, but it was her personality got me light-headed. And for the first time, I experience what it was like to have my heart racing for a girl. She was then reading a book… it was one of the Princess Diana book… that later brought us together. I don’t remember much of the book - it was just too long ago.

My HEART was beating fast and stomach was in knots. It took me some time before I mustered enough courage to tell her my feelings for her. I’ve been blessed with good and merorable relationships, but they lasted two years and I’ve had my share of happiness and along with tears. She was a really nice girl and parting was a painful decision, one which I still feel bad about today.

Spilt-ups are natually sad, but to me, they also enrich life and make one become more mature about relationship and love. As for my current single status, I’d like to think of it as a temporary "love-retirement" till I meet the one who will lure me out to be "emotionally employed" again.

Friends say I’m just being fussy, but as I always tell them: Finding someone to spent the next 30 to 40 years of your life with is not the same as finding a girlfriend to kill time.

Till I find my real love, this love-retiree will be toasting Valentine’s Day in the company of my other single male friends.
